Advocacy Through Storytelling

For several years, I worked as an advocate and traveled to D.C and Sacramento often to talk to legislators about policies that made sense for women and families. During that time I learned that one of the best ways to make our case with lawmakers was to come armed with real stories from the people that would be affected by their votes. There's power in our stories.
